Washington Energy Management works directly with homeowners, businesses, contractors, and building management companies to modify existing buildings to higher levels of energy efficiency. We perform home energy audits, commercial energy audits, and new construction energy audits. We inspect the building to identify points of heat loss, air infiltration, insufficient insulation, windows, and other issues with the building envelope. Our Certified Building Analysts are familiar with typical and advanced building construction, new and old technology of the buildings they inspect (residential, commercial or multifamily), and can help you understand your building envelope, using our computer aided testing systems and equipment.
Our mission is to continuously improve our customers ability to efficiently conserve energy, provide cost effective options for building performance upgrades, weatherization, and to provide guidance and knowledge to our customers in reference to energy conservation measures, base and seasonal load reduction, step-by-step weatherization methods, which ultimately result in real dollar savings.
Washington Energy Management's team has a variety of training and certifications including BPI (Building Performance Institute), the Energy Performance Score (EPS), PTCS (Performance Tested Comfort Systems),and NATE, HVAC design and specialized computer aided design programs. Our team works directly with designers of new and existing buildings to ensure that the architecture and engineering of the structure contributes to its energy performance. We work with plans and computer models which allow us to compute the energy flow through the structures.
